Sure there is something to be said for a tidy unassuming lamp that does as it should, blends in to your décor and provides light and warmth for your home, but some stylish and striking spaces demand more from their lighting. Does your space deserve a lamp or chandelier that is a stunning statement piece? Of course it does.
A chandelier is meant to be resplendent, it is in the very nature of their design, they hang in the center of the room, cascading down, if they are not utterly breathtaking then why bother? But perhaps you find the traditional crystal and brass chandelier a bit boring or a little too conservative for your cultivated and eclectic home? The hand-blown glass chandelier is a perfect compromise. The arcing beauty of the glass forms and the organic clustering arrangement are elegant, but decidedly modern.
The floor lamp is often so useful, so utilitarian that is treated solely as such visually. Battle this impulse by choosing a fun or whimsical design to add intrigue to your room. Choose an old Hollywood style tripod lamp to give a sense of glamour and drama.
Table lamps are often the most overlooked accents in a room, draw attention to your tabletop with a metallic sculptural style, the glistening shine of the surface will only enhance the inherent warmth and shine of the lamp. The metallic finish, particularly if you choose a design with a metallic shade will draw eyes that way, sop make sure you surround with pieces you’d like to show off.
Whichever style lighting you choose, be bold and look for the lamp or hanging fixture that best sets off the room and showcases your fabulous style.
